Terrific value Pinot Gris at this price guys!
As all the wines from Carl, the common line is how incredibly clean and well made they are! In this Grau Burgunder you can find the great terroir expressed in the glass. Opens directly with a typical apple and pear note, which is rounded off by a touch of fresh bread crust and a little nuttiness (especially walnut). Overall, a juicy, fresh Pinot Gris with a restrained acidity and a final delicate touch of pepper.
Carl is more than a friend! I had the pleasure to work alongside him for three years and it has been an incredible experience. His wines are traditional in the most pure way possible. All the jobs are carried out by hand in full respect of the nature. His wines shine for purity and typicity. An hidden gem not far away from here!
