On the nose it shows a broad spectrum of ripe and cooked fruits like cherry jam and fresh raspberries. The taste is dry, very round, with a good acidity backbone and a very long finish. Nice aromatic, beautiful minerality and balance
The wine is a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Manual harvest and low intervention in the winery. The fermentation happens with indigenous yeasts.
The winery has been collaborating with Tom Lubbe, the well-known South African winemaker of Matassa. His touch on the wines has been tremendous, giving them elegance and drinkability.
