Bring the Mediterranean sea to the dinner table!
On the nose there is an explosion of crunchy red fruits, from raspberries, cherries and blueberries. Loose yourself in the perfume of the Mediterranean herbs and spices. The taste is dry and supple with good acidity and a long and lingering finish. This wine is very balanced and the fruit aromas are elegantly paired by the great minerality and round and ripe tannic structure.
The wine is a blend of Grenache and Carignan. Vineyard are worked biodynamically and the harvest happens manually. In the cellar the winemaker works with the lowest possible intervention. The fermentation happens with indigenous yeasts and the wine ages on its lees.
The winery has been collaborating with Tom Lubbe, the well-known South African winemaker of Matassa. His touch on the wines has been tremendous, giving them elegance and drinkability. The vineyards are all organically and biodynamically farmed and in the cellar the wines are treated with the most natural approach.
