Very accessible and still complex with multiple layers, from their stony-mineral bed to currants, raspberries and pepper and a hint of leather. Vibrating with nervous acidity that emphasizes the firm nature of this wine. In spite of the 14% alcohol it is a fascinatingly slim wine that modestly reveals this unique style of Grenache.
“Las Cabañuelas” (“the little huts”) is the entry-level wine in the Jorco portfolio - and this entrée is already beyond measure! It roughly embodies an “overall view” of the Sierra de Gredos, depicting everything a little without getting lost in detail or working out a special aspect of this breathtakingly beautiful, still completely unspoiled landscape.
We are dealing here with a varietal Garnacha from a wide variety of plots, altitudes and soils (granite, sand and slate), which is spontaneously fermented in concrete vats and then aged for six months in oak.
